Calling Brownie, Junior, and Cadette troops! Participate in our Girl Scout Badge in a Day workshops to earn your next badge at the zoo.
These workshops include the steps to earn your badge, plus visits to select exhibits and live animals. Badges are included! Badges are given to Girl Scouts after completing the program.

Brownie Workshop: Senses Badge
Bring your Brownies to work toward earning their Senses Badge by meeting some special animal guests in the zoo classroom and learning how animals use their senses to survive and thrive. Your Girl Scouts will use their senses to understand the animal world through an activity sheet and a senses-themed craft. Badge/Journey patches are included.

Junior Workshop: Animal Habitat Badge
Bring your Junior Girl Scouts to work toward earning their Animal Habitats Badge by exploring one of the most amazing animal habitats at the zoo! Your Girl Scouts will meet animal guests in a zoo classroom and discuss how animals are adapted to survive in this unique environment. They will explore an exhibit at the zoo and conduct an animal census, discuss threats to habitats and the animals that live there, and learn what we can do to help! Badge/Journey patches are included.

Cadette Workshop: Animal Helpers Badge
Bring your Cadette Girl Scout troop to the Queens Zoo to work towards completing their Animal Helpers Badge! Scouts will discover the relationship between humans and animals and the many ways we help each other. Your troop will meet two animal guests in a zoo classroom, engage in hands-on exploratory activities, and visit a zoo exhibit. Badge/Journey patches are included.
