Roosevelt Elk Calf is Born

Our new Roosevelt elk calf was born on June 25 and has since joined the rest of the herd on exhibit.
Roosevelt elk weigh approximately 25 lbs. at birth. Adult bulls can weigh up to 1,100 lbs. and females up to 700 lbs., making them the largest of all elk subspecies.
