Our volunteer specialties offer something for everyone:

EDUCATION ASSISTANT

Do you like connecting young people with nature and teaching them about the world around us? Education assistants help with a variety of fun interactive programming including summer camp, public programs, events, sleepovers and more. (Two - 4 hour shifts a month minimum or a week of summer camp).

TOUR GUIDE

Tour guides lead inquiry-based classes around the zoo for school groups and families. These outgoing volunteers are passionate about talking about wildlife and our work protecting wild places around the world (One shift a week, 9:30am-1:00pm).

CONSERVATION GREETER

Conservation Greeters welcome visitors as they start their adventure around the zoo. Greeters play a key role in providing background information about the organization, our conservation work and directing people around the zoo. They are the first face people you see, so if you are eager to greet people this role is for you. (Two -4 hour shifts a month).

WCS/BIOFACT INTERPRETER

WCS/Biofact Interpreters are the face of the Wildlife Conservation Society. These volunteers engage the public in informational dialogue and activities at different exhibits around the zoo (Three, 4-hour shifts a month).
