Monthly Events for Conservation Level Members
WCS is proud to announce the return of Mornings at the Zoo, a series of special events for WCS Members at the Conservation Supporter level and above. Join us before the Zoo opens for a look at some spectacular animals and exhibits, and the opportunity to chat with our animal staff and gain an insider's understanding of caring for animals including gorillas, tigers, snow monkeys and more.

Meet the Penguins
Sunday, April 21st at 9am at the Bronx Zoo
The first Mornings at the Zoo event will be held on Sunday, April 21st at 9am at the Bronx Zoo. Join us at the Russell B. Aitken SeaBird Aviary for a special encounter with the flippered fowl known as Magellanic penguins. Chat with animal department staff and take a closer look at these amazing aquatic birds. Light refreshments served.
Meet the Reptiles
Saturday, May 18th at 9am at the Bronx Zoo
Conservation Members come face-to-scaly-face with some of our most remarkable reptile residents. Join the Bronx Zoo's Herpetology staff in the World of Reptiles and learn firsthand about caring for crocodiles, endangered turtles, snakes, lizards and more. Light refreshments served.
Meet the Dinosaurs
Saturday, June 22nd at 9am at the Bronx Zoo
Join us for Conservation Members-only early-morning access to the Bronx Zoo Dinosaur Safari! Encounter 16 animatronic dinosaurs and explore the field site to unearth secrets from the prehistoric past. Meet at Astor Court's Fountain Circle parking lot. Please note that the Southern Boulevard Parking Lot (Lot C) and Asia Pedestrian Gates only will be open for entry for this event.
Meet the Snow Monkeys
Sunday, July 21st at 9am at Central Park Zoo
The first-ever Mornings at the Zoo event at Central Park Zoo includes an encounter with the snow monkeys. Also known as Japanese macaques, these adaptable primates have an affinity for water and are highly social, with complex social structures and distinct feeding and grooming activities. Meet with Central Park Zoo's animal keepers to chat about snow monkeys and enjoy light refreshments, then spend the rest of the morning exploring the wild in the middle of Manhattan. Meet at the snow monkey exhibit in Temperate Territory.
Meet the African Wild Dogs
Saturday, August 17 at 9am at the Bronx Zoo
Meet the Bronx Zoo's pack of captivating canines, the African wild dogs, and chat with keepers about caring for these energetic, highly social, and endangered animals. Meet at African Wild Dogs exhibit. Light refreshments served.
Meet the Tigers
Sunday, September 29th at 9am at the Bronx Zoo
Chat with Animal Department staff at Tiger Mountain and take a special look at some of the Bronx Zoo's most majestic residents, the tigers. Help our Amur tiger cubs celebrate their birthdays as they turn 1 year old! Light refreshments served. Meet at Tiger Mountain.
