Mini Camps

Children will discover the natural world around them in this exciting two day camp wildlife adventure. Participants will meet some of the zoo's animals and learn about their habitats. Instructors will lead them on behind the scenes tours at the zoo exhibits, exciting animal presentations, arts and crafts, and other activities will be part of the fun.

Ages: 5 - 9 years old

Time: 10AM – 3PM
Fee: WCS Members $125; Non-members $150 (per child)

High School Zoo Program

Interested in animals and conservation? Then this is the experience for you. Spend your Sundays at the Queens Zoo getting an in-depth look at a variety of zoo careers. You'll work with zookeepers, conduct an animal behavior studies, study the wildlife at the zoo, learn urban ecology, and much more. This experience looks great on college applications and is an ideal follow-up to the summer teen internship.

Ages: 13 - 17 years old

Advanced registration is required for all programs. Your spot is not reserved until payment is made. If you have any questions regarding registration or programs, please contact the registrar at qzeducation@wcs.org or call 718-271-7361.

There will be no refunds for withdrawals from programs made less than four weeks prior to the course date. All cancellation requests must be made in writing either by email (qzeducation@wcs.org<mailto:qzeducation@wcs.org>) or fax (718-271-4441). Due to administrative costs, a 50% refund will be provided upon receipt of a written cancellation if received 4 weeks in advance. All returned checks will incur a $35 returned check fee.
We reserve the right to cancel a program due to insufficient registration. A full refund would be made only in that case.
